Thhhbbbbt!

I had a post lined up about the atrocious gameplay of the Holland - Portugal game today on the other blog, but the admin pages went down for some reason. Thhhbbbbt!

Is blogger all publishing FUBAR or just my account/blogs?

Lack of workouts

The last 10 days haven't included any training, due to travelling. They did include a lot of walking and lifting 50 lb luggage.

Next week - back into routine.

If the weather is warm enough on Saturday, and I can wake up early enough, I might go out to toss the plastic around, or maybe even play some Ultimate.

Workouts

Monday.

I didn't go to the gym on Monday, but I did do a workout.

100 body weight squats.

I used a piece of dried firewood for balance and weight on my arms. It's a good shoulder workout when you add some weight to your arms. It was also a really good workout for my back. My legs were feeling the results afterward, but my back was working hard during the exercise.

15 pushups. (Pretty hard with wobbly legs and back.)

30 situps.

Crunches: I don't know how many. I just did them until I couldn't do any more.
~50-60

Back to pushups. 15 more.

One more set of 15 pushups.

Stretching.

Sleep.

Workouts

Saturday.

I didn't exercise on Friday as I'd planned. I got back late from work and crashed. So I made sure I exercised on Saturday. I immediately felt some tight muscles, which basically told me that I really should have some something on Friday, even if it was just a quick jog and stretch. I would have felt much better on Saturday.

2 mile warm up. sub 8 minute pace on average. During the warmup, I watched some craptacular international sumo wrestling on ESPN2. It wasn't very good. All the non-asian countries' wrestlers were very physically fit, but way too small to compete (aka not heavy enough) to be competitive. The commentators were of a pretty amateurish level as well. I think they're trying to showcase the sport to a new westerna audience. If you want to see some entertaining and good sumo wrestling, try to find a professional basho on television. ESPN and other smaller sports networks carry them sometimes.

Back to the workout.

Stretching. Drink water.

I'm a little sketchy on the # of reps and weights, since I didn't record this immediately, but I think I've got them all.

Situps and crunches:
2 sets of 30, 1 set of 25

Pushups:
3 sets of 15

PT for knees (last 15% movement of leg extensions):
4 sets of 25 each leg @ 35 lbs

Leg Extentions / Quads:
(these are still really tough after the PT)
1 set of 20 @ 80 lbs
1 set of 15 @ 80 lbs

Inner Thigh / Groin / Hip Adductors:
2 sets of 25 @ 90 lbs

Outer Thigh / Hips:
2 sets of 25 @ 70 lbs

Upright Flys / Shoulders:
2 sets of 15 @ 10 lbs

Lat Pulls / Back / Shoulders / Arms:
2 sets of 25 @ 80 lbs

Leg Press:
(I did these mostly to stretch out, and get a better range of motion than leg curls provide. Also, I was able to work the muscles for my knees in the downward motion.)
I did a whole bunch, in one set only, at just enough weight to help me stretch. Somewhere between 30 - 45 reps. The weight was maybe 80 lbs.
